Homework Completion Programs

Stanley S. Holmes Village

The Homework Completion Program in the Community Room at Stanley Holmes Village, located at 1539 Arctic Avenue, Atlantic City. From Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, volunteers from SCCESL and the ACPD tutor youth in the community room. The program is a collaboration between the SCCESL, the Atlantic City Police Department (ACPD), and the Atlantic City Housing Authority and Urban Redevelopment Agency. The primary goal of the Homework Completion Program is to engage children in their schoolwork and offer children a vision into the potential of a future college education. Buzby Homes Village - Returning in January 2025!

The Homework Completion Program in the Community Room at Buzby Village, located at 600 South Drive, Atlantic City. From Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, volunteers from SCCESL and the ACPD tutor youth in the community room. The program is a collaboration between the SCCESL, the Atlantic City Police Department (ACPD), and the Atlantic City Housing Authority and Urban Redevelopment Agency. Pleasantville Public Library

The Homework Completion Program in the Meeting Room at the Pleasantville Public Library, located at 33 MLK Avenue, Pleasantville. From Monday to Thursday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, volunteers from SCCESL and the PPD tutor a small number of children in the City of Pleasantville meeting room in the Pleasantville Branch of the Atlantic County Public Library System. The program is a collaboration between the SCCESL, the Pleasantville Police Department (PPD), and the City of Pleasantville. The primary goal of the Homework Completion Program is to engage children in their schoolwork and offer children a vision into the potential of a future college education. Naturalization Classes

The SCCESL offers free, in-person naturalization classes on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Scarpa Academic Center on the Atlantic City campus. Class materials are provided by the Community Relations Officer of USCIS Newark District, and also derived from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Website, under Citizenship Resource Center, at . English Learners Classes

The English Learners Class were held every Wednesday at the Scarpa Academic Center in Atlantic City from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Any community member can come to practice their English in a group setting. No registration is required.

Computer and Internet Workshops

The Computer and Internet Workshops were held every Wednesday at the Scarpa Academic Center in Atlantic City from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Any community member can come to use the computers on campus and learn how to improve their skills with technology including word processing, spreadsheets, internet information retrieval, smart phones, and tablets. No registration is required.

Social Hour with Older Adults

The Social Hour with Older Adults is a collaboration between the SCCESL and the Pleasantville Housing Authority, and the SCCESL and the Atlantic City Housing Authority. The program offers the opportunity for older adults to engage with 新澳门六合彩投注 student volunteers to play checkers, chess, cards, bingo, and dominoes. Note that we have transportation available for 6 volunteers per session at Altman Terrace however, students are welcome to drive themselves. School Murals - No current projects

The 新澳门六合彩投注 Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning has partnered with the Atlantic City School District to have 新澳门六合彩投注 students assist in designing and painting murals within the school district.
